Rising Up in a Fallen World

I don't know about you but to me it seems like it is getting much harder to rise up, to have hope, and to be positive in the world we live in. If hope doesn't come easy for you this article is for you, although we all need positive input in our daily lives. Being surrounded by a pandemic tends to put a lid on our positive and hopeful attitude. How do we overcome that? We can do it by relying on the Word of God. Jeremiah 29:11 says, (NLV) "For I know the plans I have for you, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Look, all is not lost, there is hope in the middle of a crisis. Depression may be swirling around us but the foundation of God's Word is HOPE! Your hope, my hope, hope for anyone who wants to reach into the Father's heart and absorb it into their life.

As we search scriptures we find that God is a good God. He is forever dispensing goodness and eternal happiness to anyone that will call on His name and receive it. He gives Life, Light, Love and Liberty as well as Hope for tomorrow. He doesn't spend His time putting disasters, sickness, sorrow and other negative things on us. The Bible says that He wants to prosper us and for us to be in good health, even as our soul prospers. Sounds like we can have hope in His care for us. We have every reason to be optimistic and rise up in a fallen world. We need to take Him on as our "Senior Partner."

God is 100% "Eternally Optimistic." Satan of course is 100% negative although he tries to put a positive spin on it. We fall somewhere along the line between the two. The good news is that we can rise up in our hope and let the nature of God increase in our lives, that will continue to move us forward in Christ and closer to being an eternal optimist. We as believers have a future full of hope while the world must always have concern for tomorrow. Hope makes us productive while a negative life sows seeds of doubt and fear.

Is there a good reason to be full of hope and positive? For sure, here are a few to give thought too:

1. Being positive and having hope affects your outlook and your personality. You

become someone that people want to be around.

2. Being positive and having hope will strengthen your marriage. It will build up the

love and trust in your relationship.

3. Being positive and having hope will greatly affect and bless your children. Positive

actions help create successful people, it gives them a head start in life.

4. Being positive and having hope affects those around you, it blesses peoples lives.

Hope will help others to rise up, it will be like a perfume, becoming noticed by

everyone around. It is a sweet fragrance to the spirit.

5. Being positive and having hope brings health to us. Proverbs says, there are many

benefits to a positive life. Our positive influence helps us to rise to the occasion

in troubled times, renewing our strength.

6. Being positive and having hope will bring joy to our life and circumstances, even

when not the best of times engulfs us. Hope will help us to live in contentment. It

is not necessarily how long we live, but how well we live that counts. Have we

learned to rise up in a fallen world?

So, how do we get ourselves to rise up, how do we get on the positive train to hope and victory in life? First of all we can put God's Word into action and be thankful in all things. Notice it is "in" all things, not "for" all things. Your thanks will change you attitude over time, letting you rise to the occasion. Hope will displace despair and others will notice. There is much good in this world, but also a vast amount of evil and garbage. Be aware of what you watch and listen to. The negatives of this world will steal your hope. Focus on the things that bring an abundant life. God's Word says to not listen to unprofitable conversation. Think about that, what does that mean? It means that what we pour into our heart is what we become. God's Word actually says, "so is that person." What we take in we spew out, the tongue has the power of life and death. If you miss the boat in trying to rise up, try again and again and again. Never give up but become full of hope.

With faith, hope and love we can rise up in a fallen world. We can live in hope, trusting in the arms of our loving Father to help us rise up. We can rise up above the storm. As we rise up we can exhibit a positive example to a fallen world. We can confidently become the salt and light God called us to be.

Have a great day.
