Wow, that sounds easy, keep it simple. It seems that the more complicated our world gets the more complicated we make understanding God's Word. When we surrender to God and step into His Kingdom we need to have a simple belief and trust in His Word. 17 of the 39 books of the Old Testament are about prophecy. One whole book in the New Testament is prophecy. Hundreds of prophecies have already been fulfilled and we can check them out looking at history. As believers we stand on the promise of His Word being true and faithful. If His Word is true and faithful then let's not spend so much of our time trying to massage His simple truth into something complicated. His Word is what He said it is. We can take it as He inspired it to be written. God did not contradict himself in the scriptures. What He said 2000 years ago is what He is saying today. Over the ages man has tried to eradicate the Word of God but it has survived. Peter 1:25 says, "But the word of the Lord will endure forever..."
How does the simple truth of God's Word equate to the chaos of our world today. Fear arising on every side of us, watching our calm and collected surroundings crumble a little more each day. Guess what!!! If you are trusting in God and walking in His footsteps, He has you covered.
I love this great quote, "When fear knocks on your door, send faith to answer it." In 1 Peter 5:6-7 we read, "Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you." Doesn't say He will answer immediately. Read, "In his good time." Doesn't say to just give him a few of your worries, give them all. That means you include the ones that seem impossible. Apply that to your circumstances today.
We can do all we can to provide for our needs but must do so while standing smack dab in the middle of God's Word. Matthew 6:31-32 says, "So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them". God has resources that are beyond our wildest imagination, trust Him to release them in a time of need. We can go on and on looking at His healing power when sickness occurs. We can look at His guidance, His protection and His revelation. All are necessary things in the day that we live in, but, lets keep it simple and trust in His Word. It is His Word and for us it is the breath of life. Lets live today believing and trusting in every "Simple" word the God has released over us. Take Him at His Word, not at how we would like to fit the WORD into our own mindset.
Do you expect a miracle in these tough times? Trust God and truly take Him at His WORD.
Have a blessed day, we are praying for you.
